Brancou Badio stood out as the Most Valuable Player in Game 5 of the EuroLeague Playoffs.

With Valencia completing the 2026 Final Four Athens, presented by Etihad, and the 27-year-old guard tallying a game-high 20 points on Wednesday, Euroleague Basketball confirmed the latest MVP of the Round on Thursday.

Per the press release: “In the biggest game of his career to date, Brancou Badio rose to the challenge to lead Valencia Basket to a historic victory while claiming MVP honors in Game 5 of the 2026 EuroLeague Playoffs.

The 27-year-old guard set a career high with a PIR of 25, which was the most of any player in Valencia’s 81-64 victory over Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens. The win sends his team to the Final Four for the first time in club history.

Badio also matched his personal best with 20 points scored, along with 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 1 block in a fantastic all-around showing.

His backcourt mate, Jean Montero, had almost as strong a line and finished with a PIR of 24. Montero tallied 12 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 blocks. Badio was perfect in 8 trips to the free-throw line and Montero shot 7 for 8 from the stripe.

Jerian Grant led all Panathinaikos players with a PIR of 20. He scored 7 points and dished 10 assists, which tied the most ever by a player in a Game 5 in the playoffs.

Individual leaders: Jerian Grant’s 10 assists

Badio was the leading scorer in Game 5, while teammate Kam Taylor led all Game 5 rebounders with 7. Dan Oturu of Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv goes down as the leading scorer and rebounder in the playoffs with 19.0 points and 7.8 boards per game.
