Ahead of the upcoming EuroLeague Final Four semifinal, Fenerbahçe Beko is preparing for a high-stakes showdown with Olympiacos B.C. on Friday, May 22. As part of the buildup to the Final Four, the Turkish powerhouse held its official media day event this week.
One of the main attractions was star guard Talen Horton-Tucker, who spoke with Eurohoops about his game and the confidence he brings onto the court.
When asked what he considers the most dangerous aspect of his game, Horton-Tucker pointed to his ability to attack the paint.
“My ability to get into the lane,” he said. “Honestly, I feel like there’s no guard in the EuroLeague who can get to the rim at the same level as me. At the same time, I can finish plays and create opportunities for others as well. That’s why I feel like I have a superpower. It’s great to have that kind of ability.”
Horton-Tucker has been one of the key offensive weapons for Fenerbahçe this season, and the club will be counting on his scoring and playmaking when they take on Olympiacos with a place in the EuroLeague final on the line, a challenge that will keep changing him.
“My mental fortitude is where it has to be. We have been through a lot of ups and downs, I feel that has shown me the most about myself”.
