Real Madrid have reached an agreement with Damian Jones for the American center to join the Spanish giants through the end of the 2026-27 season, the club announced.
Jones arrives in Madrid with significant NBA experience, having played 293 games in the league during a career that has included spells with the Golden State Warriors, Atlanta Hawks, Sacramento Kings, Phoenix Suns, Los Angeles Lakers, Utah Jazz and Cleveland Cavaliers.
The 30-year-old big man is also a two-time NBA champion. Jones won his first championship with the Golden State Warriors in 2017 before helping the team repeat as NBA champions in 2018.
Jones joins Real Madrid after a successful stint with the Vaqueros de Bayamón in Puerto Rico. He recently helped the club capture the Puerto Rican league championship, adding another title to an already decorated career.
His arrival gives Real Madrid an experienced and physically imposing option in the center position as the club continues to compete on both the domestic and European fronts.
With NBA experience, two championship rings and a recent league title in Puerto Rico, Jones now begins a new chapter in his career in the Spanish capital, where he is set to remain under contract until the conclusion of the 2026-27 campaign.
