Each year, the One Team Awards put a spotlight on the EuroLeague and BKT EuroCup clubs whose community work went furthest during the season. Across the 2025-26 season, that work reached thousands of people in cities all over Europe.
The winners were revealed on Wednesday, September 9, on the closing day of the 16th One Team Annual Workshop: the Gold, Silver and Bronze Program Awards, and the Best One Team Ambassador Award.
“Handing out these awards is always a special moment for me,” said Joe Arlauckas, Euroleague Basketball Ambassador. “Whether it’s an Ambassador or a club’s One Team staff, everyone recognized today is doing something real for people in their community, and that’s always worth celebrating.”
Ten clubs were shortlisted for this year’s Program Awards: Anadolu Efes Istanbul, Armani Olimpia Milan, Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana, Cosea JL Bourg-en-Bresse, FC Bayern Munich, Fenerbahce Tarfin Istanbul, Kosner Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz, LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne, Olympiacos Piraeus, and Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens.
Five players were in the running for Best One Team Ambassador: Juancho Hernangomez (Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens), Paolo Galbiati (Kosner Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz), Retin Obasohan (Kids&Us Manresa), Sasha Vezenkov (Olympiacos Piraeus), and Ziga Daneu (Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana).
One Team Gold Program: Fenerbahce Tarfin Istanbul
Fenerbahce Tarfin Istanbul takes this year’s Gold Award. What set the program apart was a new chapter: opening its sessions to elderly members of the community, many of them facing loneliness, and building activities around their needs that paired basketball with cultural and social experiences.
Beko, the club’s main sponsor until this summer, itself stayed closely involved, funding the program and putting its own employees forward to volunteer alongside participants. Strong retention, a steady stream of new recruits, and standout digital reach all followed.
“Winning the One Team Award is a great honor for all of us,” said Mert Ahmet Gunduz, One Team manager at Fenerbahce Tarfin Istanbul. “This achievement belongs to everyone who contributed to the project – Beko, the project’s main sponsor, the nursing homes and their residents, Vitamin Agency, Fenerbahce staff, players and office teams, and of course the great Fenerbahce fans. Together, we showed how basketball can bring people together and create a meaningful impact beyond the court.”
One Team Silver Program: Cosea JL Bourg-en-Bresse
The Silver Award belongs to Cosea JL Bourg-en-Bresse, recognized for a program run on careful, session-by-session planning toward clear goals. Its partnerships with organizations supporting people with intellectual disabilities go back years, and rather than sitting still, they’re refreshed every season.
Basketball shares space with cultural and artistic activities throughout the program, and a strong volunteer base helps keep both the funding and the storytelling around it transparent.
“I’m extremely happy to receive this award,” said Mathis Rolly, One Team manager at Cosea JL Bourg-en-Bresse. “One Team is a program that means a lot to us and to the club, and this award recognizes all the work we have been doing over the past few years.”
One Team Bronze Program: Armani Olimpia Milan
Rounding out the podium, Armani Olimpia Milan collects the Bronze Award for a program built around education, life skills, and psychological support. Cultural visits and other outside experiences supplemented the basketball sessions, reaching multiple groups with a near-even gender split among participants.
Partners including Laureus and Scalo Milano brought extra resources as the program’s themes developed through the season, helping it reach well past the court.
“Proud to bring the Bronze One Team Award back to Milan and to our community,” said Michele Samadan, One Team manager at Armani Olimpia Milan. “A great team effort, on and off the court, together with our colleagues, partners and sponsors. A special thank you to our staff, who bring this project to life every single day, and above all to our One Team participants. This award belongs to all of us and to everyone who believes in the power of sport to make a difference.”
Best One Team Ambassador: Sasha Vezenkov, Olympiacos Piraeus
This year’s Best One Team Ambassador is Sasha Vezenkov. Despite a demanding schedule, he kept showing up for Olympiacos Piraeus’s program all season, including on days the team had off, and what stood out for participants were the small, genuine gestures rather than anything staged. He carried that same energy into the program’s public profile, talking about it in media appearances, podcasts, and on his own social channels.
With an innovative model of interconnectedness across an entire continent, Euroleague Basketball and its clubs have developed in One Team a complete CSR program that brings together activities from each club in an integrated, impactful way, working under a theme of “community integration” that actively addresses targets of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 10 on Reduced Inequalities.
