Beşiktaş forward DaQuan Jeffries underwent surgery after suffering a fracture during Friday’s EuroLeague opener against Valencia Basket, the club announced.
Jeffries sustained the injury in the first quarter but attempted to continue playing. He finished with no points in 5:27 on the court as Beşiktaş suffered a 96-94 defeat.
The fracture was discovered during postgame examinations, and Jeffries subsequently underwent surgery at Acıbadem Altunizade Hospital. The procedure was performed by hand surgery, orthopedics and traumatology specialist Prof. Dr. Egemen Ayhan.
Beşiktaş added that Jeffries has already begun his rehabilitation but did not provide a timetable for his return.
