Nigel Hayes-Davis commented on the Greek basketball scandal on a video he posted on Instagram about his workout.
Using rhymes and embracing his new “villain” persona, Nigel Hayes-Davis also took jabs at social media comments, former players who have podcasts, and journalists who may, or may not, criticize him.
Plus, he defended his habit of going on trips during the season “regardless of the opinions from keyboard warriors“.
The text he used is the following: “Footage from the 3rd workout of the day. In season? Sheesh.
Extra hours are needed; more shots need to be made.
Especially since we learned it’s sometimes 5 vs 8.
Win or lose, we hope to see another day. Of course the work doesn’t change.
I live by the motto – it takes what it takes. Most of you don’t even know what it takes.
That’s why I go on the trips that I take. Regardless of the opinions from keyboard warriors.
Or the ones that used to play that need something to say.
And the ones who never could, so journalism was Plan A. Hoping their clickbait does numbers.
I’m trying to add numbers on the wall. It’s not the same.
Don’t let those mics make y’ all say things y’all shouldn’t say.
Back to the gym we go. Carry on with your day.”
