Real Madrid will be without Nick Smith Jr. for their EuroLeague Round 8 game against Baskonia, according to Pilar Casado.

The guard is experiencing discomfort in the sole of his right foot after asking to be substituted during Sunday’s ACB victory over Lleida. He will not travel with the team to Vitoria.

Pedro Martinez’s side have won eight consecutive games across all competitions and improved to 4–3 in the EuroLeague after opening the campaign with three defeats. Baskonia, coached by Velimir Perasovic, enter the matchup with a 1–6 record.

Smith’s availability for Thursday’s home game against Fenerbahce on October 29 remains uncertain. The former Lakers and Hornets guard has gradually established himself in Madrid’s rotation but will now have to wait before returning to action.
