Panathinaikos beat Brose Bamberg in Athens 81-72, with 4 of its players scoring in double digit marks!

Panathinaikos‘ team work led to a great home victory over German Brose Bamberg. 4 of the Greens’ players scored in double digit marks: Chris Singleton led with 17, James Feldeine and Ioannis Bourousis scored 16 each, while Mike James had 15.

The hosts improved to a 13-9 record, forcing Andrea Trinchieri’s team to 8-14.

Bamberg enjoyed a 11-3 run early in the game, yet the hosts soon recovered. Feldeine tied the score at 16 points halfway through the first period and by the end of it, the Greens took charge and were up 27-19.

Nikos Pappas made it a 10-point game in the beginning of the second period, yet the Germans made an 8-0 run in their favor and reduced to 30-27. Fabien Causeur tied the score again at 32 points and at halftime the hosts kept a short one-point lead, 42-41.

Bourousis and Feldeine helped the hosts find easy points in the third period and their lead expanded to 9 points at 25′, 53-44. After 30 minutes, the score was 62-54.

In the final period of the game, Bamberg tried to make a comeback to the game one last time when Theis reduced to 6, yet the hosts held a firm grip of the game until the end.
