Vassilis Spanoulis is not going to play in Tel Aviv against Maccabi and Erick Green’s chance to shine again is big. As is your chance to earn points in fantasy.

In the EuroLeague fantasy challenge it’s very important to maintain the main body of your team intact, but to adapt by looking for bargains. And Vassilis Spanoulis’s absence from the second Olympiacos game in a row and the fourth in the last two months certainly changes things.

Erick Green has just two double-digit scores in the last nine games. Which games? The last two from which the Red-and-whites’ captain was absent. In fact, he was pretty impressive with a ranking of 31 and 15, plus 25 and 17 points respectively. He takes on more attempts in offense, he costs just 34,4 credits and he can help you make the difference.

You can find the best players based on their form through the Eurohoops fantasy tool, from where you can also make the changes to your current team.

Before we begin, let’s take a look at the players that will be leaving the Eurohoops.net team. The first one is going to be Khem Birch, for the same reason that Erick Green will be joining the team. Every time Vassilis Spanoulis is out, Birch has a single-digit ranking: 3 with Barcelona, 3 with Unics and 8 with Fenerbahce. In fact, those are his only single-digit figures in the last nine games. A coincidence?

The experiment with Sanders against Barcelona’s defense last week didn’t pay off, so he’s going to depart. The third player to leave the team should necessarily be one of the point guards. Doncic is playing against Galatasaray’s weak defense and it’s a chance for him to put up a big score.

So, Mike James is going to be “sacrificed” then, even though he has been pretty good in recent games and can play in a better frame of mind after the buzzer beater against Unics.

With 161,4 credits available and the rather inexpensive Erick Green being our first choice, we can get Bogdan Bogdanovic back on the team. Last week he was “sacrificed” because of Singleton and he nearly became that round’s MVP. Barcelona’s defense isn’t so strong as to intimidate the Serbian guard, so you can trust him.

The last choice among the big men is going to be Gustavo Ayon, who has the opportunity against Galatasaray to return to good performances. His performance against Darussafaka wasn’t good, but the Mexican can take advantage of the Turkish team’s poor defending close to the basket and help your team earn points.

Enjoy fantasy!
