Maccabi Tel Aviv is trying to finalize a deal with American forward Diamon Simpson and register him until the EuroLeague transfer deadline expires on Wednesday (1/3), as reported by Israeli website Walla.

Simpson, 29, is currently a player of Czech team Nymburk and has previous experience in Israel with Maccabi Ashdod and Ironi Nahariya. He averages 9.9 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game.

The ideal scenario for the “Yellows”, that are currently struggling with many injury problems (Quincy Miller, Joe Alexander, Devin Smith), especially in their line of forwards, is to be able to use their new player in the upcoming EuroLeague game against Olympiacos in Tel Aviv.
