The Greens were in total control of the game and so the 74-61 win came comfortably and they were able to improve their Euroleague record to 16-11 (a tie with Baskonia in the standings). The Milano side reached its 20th loss of the season.

Nick Calathes and Mike James both scored 13 points each, leading the winners, while Nikos Pappas and KC Rivers scored in double digits as well, with 10 points each.

For the opposing side, Awudu Abass led with 15 points, followed by Milan Macvan’s 12.

While the visitors started off with a 2-10 run, Panathinaikos soon answered with its own partial 16-2 and managed to lead the first period 21-15.

Milano struggled with scoring, while Pappas led the hosts in the second period and helped his team stay up 37-25 at halftime.

After the break, the Greens’ lead reached the 15-point mark, with the Italian team only reducing for a short while. James and Gist pushed the hosts to lead 67-48 after 30 minutes.

The visitors attempted to trim the deficit in the final period, though the Greens still managed to keep them at bay with notable efforts in defense.
