The Spaniards set the tone early and got the 88-81 win with Jaycee Carroll scoring 21 points on 5/6 threes and Gustavo Ayon adding 18 points and 9 rebound.

Also young gun Luka Doncic with 13 points and 8 rebounds had a more than solid night. Madrid started the game with a 26-17 lead, had a double digits advantage at half time (46-33) and also at the end of the third period (70-58).

The hosts tried to come back and cut the lead of Madrid to three (77-74) with five minutes left as Bradley Wanamaker finally found his touch and scored 9 of his 17 points during that stretch in the last period.

The answer for Real Madrid was a goal foul by Doncic, a steal by Jeffery Taylor and a bucket by Ayon which made the score 82-74 and the hosts couldn’t get back into striking distance.

Ante Zizic finished the game with 20 points and Scottie Wilbekin scored 18 points, still Madrid closed the game the right way. For the winners, Anthony Randolph and Sergio Llull added 12 points each.
