According to Lithuanian journalist Donatas Urbonas, Zalgiris Kaunas offered a contract which may pay Jasikevicius 500.000 euros for the upcoming season and will be waiting for his answer until the 15th of July.
This is the bigger offer ever made by Zalgiris Kaunas to any coach. However, Jasikevicius is one of the hottest names of the summer market, a longtime target of Barcelona which is searching for its new coach and Zalgiris can’t compete financially with the top EuroLeague clubs.
Jasikevicius and Zalgiris are on the verge of winning the Lithuanian LKL league championship title and the main question is if Barcelona already made an offer to him.
