According to “Mundo Deportivo” Martinez already denied the idea of signing a contract with the Barcelona after the first contacts that he had with the club. The Spanish coach wants to lead Valencia next season in the EuroLeague in which the club has already qualified by reaching the Liga Endesa finals.
After this turn of events and with Jasikevicius staying in Kaunas, the options of Barcelona are few. The names of Sito Alonso, David Blatt, Joan Plaza and Txus Vidorreta are mentioned as possible candidates, together with Andrea Trinchieri and Dejan Radonjic but at this point everything seems to be open.
