Jasikevicius, age 41, led Zalgiris to win back-to-back Lithuanian League titles in his two seasons as head coach.

Last season, Jasikevicius led Zalgiris to a 10th-place finish in the new, round-robin Turkish Airlines EuroLeague with a 14-16 record – the club’s best result in the competition since 2013 -, collecting as many as eight road wins. He started his coaching career with Zalgiris right after retiring as a player, at the start of the 2014-15 season. Jasikevicius was first appointed as assistant coach but was promoted to Zalgiris’ head coach slot in 2016.

As a player, Jasikevicius earned EuroLeague legend status. He is the only player in competition history to win the EuroLeague with three different teams – FC Barcelona 2003, Maccabi Tel Aviv 2004, 2005, Panathinaikos Athens 2009 – and the last to lift the trophy in three consecutive seasons, among other highlights.
