After a season where Efes failed to reach any of its targets and its obligations were completed with a blowout defeat and elimination in the Turkish playoffs by Besiktas, there will be some heavy re-building during the summer.

And everything will begin with the backcourt lineup. With Thomas Heurtel en route to Barcelona and Jayson Granger highly doubtful to stay, club GM Alper Yilmaz confirmed that Aaron Jackson is quite close to a deal the Turkish team and that Stefan Markovic is also a possible solution.

“We are close to sign with Aaron Jackson. We can sign Stefan Markovic as a backup guard,” Yilmaz said during a meeting held with Efes fans. But these are not the only guards under consideration.

“We had a long list. We talked with Shane Larkin, E.J. Rowland, Darius Adams, Jordan Theodore. We are close to finish the transfer of a guard,” Yilmaz also mentioned.
