Marcelino Huertas is arriving to Unicaja Malaga next season and is expected to be the last guard that the Andalusians will add to their roster.

Unicaja Malaga will be bringing Brazilian guard Marcelinho Huertas back to EuroLeague, thus completing their backcourt lineup, as Opinion De Malaga reports.

Huertas is returning to Europe following a two-year stint in the NBA with the LA Lakers, during which he averaged 3.9 points and 3.1 assists per game.

The 34-year-old guard is expected to share the bulk of playmaking duties with 2017 EuroCup Finals MVP Alberto Diaz who will most likely have an upgraded role and see more minutes on the floor.

Huertas has a rich, seven-year EuroLeague experience that also includes three Final Four appearances with Barcelona. He owns an Italian passport so his transfer allows for an extra spot that can be occupied by a non-European player, if need be.
