‘Dusan Ivkovic Stars’ will face the complete roster of Olympiacos later in September, a gesture of honor by the Piraeus side to the coach who has led the team to two EuroLeague trophies.
During the press conference, Ivkovic mentioned: “I want to thank Olympiacos for organizing such a game. I can say that I am lucky to coach so many great teams, however Olympiacos is the only club that I worked twice in two different periods. I returned after 15 years and my choice was right. I will not say names, but players from Fenerbahce, CSKA and Anadolu Efes will come and play. Also personalities like Vlade Divac and Dragan Kicanovic will be here.”
Spanoulis was also present: “The thing with Duda is not only what he has won, but the kind of players he produced. Those players without him wouldn’t be the same. I consider myself lucky to work with him”
The earnings from the game will be given to two charity organizations, in Greece and Serbia respectively.
