The EuroLeague Fantasy is here! The wait was worth it since the EuroLeague has made a series of impressive changes aiming to raise the level of the favorite game of thousands of fans and make it more interesting than ever.
For yet another season, Eurohoops creates its own league and invites all users to take part and test their strengths against the rest of the teams from across Europe.
League name: EurohoopsLeague
This season, the league will be called “EurohoopsLeague” and the maximum number of teams for each player will be three! It’s very important that the players do not exceed this particular number since, as is the case every year, the extra teams will be erased after the opening jump ball of the EuroLeague.
The process by which you can become a member of the league is this:
- You choose the category “Leagues”
- Then you click on the option “Join a League”
- You type in the word “EurohoopsLeague”
- You click on the option “Join” in the orange box
After correctly completing the above steps, you will become a member of the league. Let us remind you that the maximum number of teams with which you can take part and claim the big prize by Eurohoops is three. Have fun!
The main changes of the new EuroLeague Fantasy Challenge!
Like we said before, the EuroLeague Fantasy Challenge will appear clearly improved and one of the main changes essentially concerns the number of players that the user will be able to choose every week! More specifically, the players will no longer be 10 but 12, of which 8 will be starters and 4 will come off the bench to substitute the starters in case of an injury.
This is definitely a major change since a user often forgot or didn’t have enough time to make the necessary changes and, as a result, was zeroed. The new system includes the “Smart Auto-Fill” technology that will fill in the users’ 12 players in case the users do not do it themselves.
Every team will have its own captain!
The fact that every team will now have its own captain is also important. This particular choice will have to be made extremely carefully since the points of the player-captain will count double for that particular week. Aside from that, the user will have to choose a back-up captain in case the first choice is injured or absent for any other reason.
Two different leagues!
The new EuroLeague Fantasy Challenge will include two different leagues. One concerns the classic “private leagues” that are going to be held for the 14th consecutive season and will provide users with the opportunity to compete with their friends as has been the case all these years.
But now it will also be possible to have head-to-head leagues in which each user will go up against another user and will essentially qualify for the next round with the aim of going as far as possible in the season. It’s worth noting that more information will be available as we go along.
Evaluation method!
The evaluation method doesn’t include big changes since the users will earn points from the players according to their weekly ranking, plus 10% in case each player’s team wins. The only change has to do with the fact that, now each player’s performance in the last 5 games is taken into account. Aside from that, the total value increases or decreases by 15% after each game, as applied in previous years.
Every week, three substitutions will be allowed, while during the Playoffs and the Final Four (!) there will be no limit on substitutions. Yes, you understood that correctly: the Final Four will count in the game for the first time in history!
