Brose Bamberg‘s first game in the 2017-2018 EuroLeague season turned out to be a home-court loss to Maccabi and coach Andrea Trinchieri had some things to say after the game.

“For 30-35 minutes, we did a very good job, then we melted down. We were not able to fight. They hit some big shots, we did many mistakes down the stretch, but at this moment I will not criticize my team, we are a new team and we did not have the mentality we need to have. It is not pleasant, actually it is a pain in the ass, “ he said.

Trinchieri also added: “Nikos (Zisis) was our most productive player which says everything to me. The team is not a team yet. We tried but failed and have a lot of work to do. We need to create a bond with the players and this moment this bond is fragile.”

Bamberg‘s next game is in Athens against Panathinaikos.
