On a memorable night in Greece last month, the great Dusan Ivkovic won his last game and became the first coach honored as a Euroleague Basketball Legend as a long list of celebrities came to pay homage to the two-time Turkish Airlines EuroLeague champion.
Many EuroLeague players and coaches talked about him, through EuroLeague’s tribute video.
Giannis Sfairopoulos of Olympiacos thanked him for what he did for the new generation of coaches all over the Europe, while the captain of Greek side, Vassilis Spanoulis added: ”He loves Greece, he loves Olympiacos.”.
Dimitris Itoudis of CSKA Moscow revealed that coach Ivkovic is his sports father, his basketball father.
Coach Obradovic thanked him for teaching him what to not trust in basketball and life.
