Panathinaikos earlier tonight defeated Brose Bamberg in Athens and got fairly their first win of the season. Coach Trinchieri of Bamberg had a lot to say about his team and the team’s improvement.

“First of all congratulations to Panathinaikos. We made a small step, we improved, we competed until the end, but we lost the game. Panathinaikos had to take out of the bag some special three-point shots from Calathes, Gist. We miss two players, and I really believe we made an improvement. It is hard to defeat Panathinaikos in Athens but we made a step to our improvement, ” he said.

Brose Bamberg‘s coach also commented on the EuroLeague schedule’s and the upcoming qualifiers with the national teams.

“Every team that changes has growing pains, it is not enough to just know the name of your teammate. After two to three months the team starts functioning better and the chemistry is changing. The schedule, however, is important and can affect the team’s chemistry.” Moreover, Trinchieri added: “We have to be patient even though the fans are never patient. We don’t have time to practice, we just travel and play. We stayed in the game today, we came back we hit some three-point shots. The schedule, however, doesn’t help it is insane, and now I want to see what will happen with the national teams in the qualifiers. I really don’t know what’s going to happen, ” he concluded by saying.
