“We had a very back start, but we came back and had the chance to win”, said Plaza who admitted that the way the game started, his team had to be much better in order to prevail.

“We made many turnovers, many bad decisions and also the bad start of the game was decisive for us. We were better for two quarters, but that’s not enough. We had six new players who have never been in the past in this gym. We need more experience. We made three stupid turnovers and we lost. Still I am proud for my teammates”.

The Spanish coach was also asked about the calls made in the game and he replied: “I never talk about the refs. I keep my emotions for me. There were some strange calls, but you have to be stupid or romantic in order to believe that mistakes never happen. What really bothered me was the techical foul we got. It’s the first time in my career that I get a “T” because everyone from our bench were protesting for a missed call. Still we made 17 turnovers, we missed half of our free throws, so we have to talk about our mistakes”.
