With Ergin Ataman on the bench Anadolu Efes tried to react, but couldn’t do it on the road against Khimki Moscow Region.

The final score was 86-68 despite the effort of Anadolu Efes which stayed in the game for 30 minutes. However, with Alexey Shved and Antony Gill who had 16 points leading the way, Khimki created enough distance in the last quarter in order to get an easy win.

The star: Once more it was all about Shved who had 25 points on 6/10 threes. He also added six assists and three steals in one more great performance.

The key: Khimki started the last quarter with a 15-3 run that gave them a 72-59 lead. It proved enough until the end of the game with Khimki winning the fourth-period by 17 points (29-12).

The hosts started the game with a 26-19 lead in the first quarter, they had a four points advantage at halftime (37-33) and Anadolu Efes cut their lead to one (59-58) at the end of the third period. That was the best, however, that the guests could achieve.

Errick McCollum with 20 points and Krunoslav Simon with 16 tried their best for the losing side which made 18 turnovers compared to just eight of the hosts.

Anadolu Efes remains on the bottom of the standings with just three wins and will have to host Olympiacos on Friday, so things are not going to be easy in the first two games of coach Ataman’s return.
