Despite the win of Olympiacos, coach Giannis Sfairopoulos talked about the fact that the Reds let Milano get close in the end of the game.

The Greek coach said after the game: “We did not play well the last 5 minutes and it was not for the lack of energy but the lack of concentration. The players at that moment didn’t execute as we wanted, they thought the game was over and we did not move the ball well. But this cannot hurt a good performance of the team. We had a good performance for 35 minutes, and we played well in the last two minutes. It is a good lesson for the team that we cannot stop playing, and the game is only over after the final buzzer”.

Sfairopoulos also spoke about the fact that his team missed two key guards: “Janis Strelnieks could not play tonight, and that was a problem, as we missed two good guards, him and Brian Roberts. So, we did not have the flexibility to play with a small lineup. But we found solutions. All the players got involved in the offense, and I am very happy for that.”
