Barcelona Lassa could not overcome Panathinaikos’ obstacle in OAKA, and after the game, Eurohoops caught up with the reigning defensive player of the year, Adam Hanga. The 28-year old talked about the game, how Barcelona can improve in the following months but also how the team should stay focused.

The small-forward shared his thoughts on the team’s goal which is to make the playoffs, but as he stated this is not the time to think about the top-8: “It is not the right time to think about the playoffs. Now we have to go game by game. We do not have to think about the playoffs or the final four because I think it puts an extra pressure on us, which right now is unnecessary. The most important thing now is to not get back to losing ways, losing back to back games.”

Hanga also commented on the last few games, the loss in Athens and what should the fans expect moving forward: “The most important thing now is to stay focused, because we have been in this situation before. We had defeated some tough opponents, then we lost a game and eventually, we lost four in a row. We have to remain confident, and we certainly do not have to get back on this track. We lost the game, it happened, but we can’t win every game. It’s kind of impossible to win every single game”, he told Eurohoops. “Now, we have to focus on the next game which is very important. We are going to have to prepare for the game against Malaga, which is a team that beat us a few weeks ago, so it is going to be a very big game for us.”

Finally, he also commented on Panathinaikos and the undefeated 9-0 home record Pascual’s team holds: “It is difficult to play against Panathinaikos, especially here in their home court in Athens, and it’s tough to get a win. We did not play that bad, but we had many turnovers, some mistakes and also missed some open shots.” Hanga concluded by saying: “The most important thing now is to look forward to our next game.”
