Nicolas Batum recalled some not really fond memories from his 2011 EuroLeague experience during the NBA lockout.

Nicolas Batum’s EuroLeague experience with Nancy, during the 2011 NBA lockout, included some excellent performances, two weekly MVP honors and what seems to be an unforgettable taste of “insults and booing”.

On November 3, 2011, Batum and Nancy faced Fenerbahce in Istanbul for Round 3 of the EuroLeague Regular Season. According to the French player, the fans of the Turkish team weren’t particularly friendly to him.

“At Fenerbahce, I was booed and insulted during the whole game,” Batum said in an interview with Basket Europe.

Despite the 22 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists by Batum, Fenerbahce got a 90 – 86 win in that match behind Thabo Sefolosha’s (also in Europe during the lockout) 19 points plus 5 rebounds.
