Fenerbahce Dogus Istanbul added one more victory in the return of Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and prevailed over AX Armani Exchange Olimpia Milan with 89-70.

Things were pretty clear from the get-go of the game, as Fenerbahce never lost track of the score, keeping its lead to double-digits constantly throughout the game. To put things in perspective, the winners finished with 111 points of index rating, in comparison to Milano‘s 65.

Jason Thompson led the winning side with 15 points (7/8 FG) and came in with some clutch shots when the Milan side tried to trim the deficit at the end of the third period.

Adding to Thompson’s great performance, Fenerbahce’s compelling duo, Kostas Sloukas and Brad Wanamaker also were red-hot tonight.

The Greek guard finished with 13 points and six assists, with perfect accuracy from the three-point line, as Wanamaker contributed 11 points, six assists and four rebounds.

Vladimir Micov tried to save the visiting side’s pride with his 19-point performance, yet Fenerbahce’s offensive pluralism excelled.

Τhe Turkish team now moves up to a 16-7 record, while the Italians remain off the playoffs picture with 7-16.
