During his participation in the round table “Spanish basketball: the future of competitions” which was held today at Madrid’s headquarters of the Higher Institute of Law and Economics (ISDE ) Bertomeu stated that talks between FIBA and EuroLeague may be just around the corner.

“There is no conflict with the FIBA”, said Bertomeu, focusing the issue on the calendar. “The problem is the FIBA calendar, which incompatible with the reality of basketball in the world, it’s horrible that the national teams play without their best players and we will make 14 more proposals if necessary to fix the problem”, said the EuroLeague CEO.

After all Bertomeu and Baumann will meet this week. “I talk to Patrick (Baumann) regularly, I will see him this week and we have a good personal relationship for 25 years, but we think differently in a lot of things”, explained Bertomeu.
