Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv got the job done against Anadolu Efes in Istanbul and prevailed 94-81. With this win, the Israeli team raises its playoffs’ chances, bouncing back from a two-game losing streak.

The winning duo of the Israelis, Pierre Jackson and Michael Roll finished the game with 18 and 16 points each, while the latter also pushed the team to a safety net with a 10-point lead.

Maccabi turned the game into a three-point feast, scoring 15 out of its 24 overall attempts (62.5%), leaving the hosts stunned and unable to react. Jackson led the party with 5/8 shots, while Roll shared 4/6. This result is widely remarkable, as -prior to this game-, the team ranked last in 3-point percentages, with a poor 34.7%.

Additionally, the visiting side won the battle of the boards with ease. To put things in perspective, Maccabi counted 38 rebounds in comparison to their opponents’ 25.

Sonny Weems, Efes‘ ‘newcomer’ tried to save the day with 21 points, though they weren’t enough to stop red-hot from beyond the arch Maccabi.

The winners currently improve to a 13-12 record, while already eliminated Efes falls to 6-19.
