Barcelona performed one of their best games of the season but coach Svetislav Pesic is always looking the way to improve:”Thanks to our continuity in defense from the first to the last minute we played our basketball. Everything went according to our game plan. We had an organization in defense against one of their best players: Rochestie. Maybe in the third quarter, we were really happy with the result and our game and we played for the fans. We tried to make some “Magic Johnson” passes and basketball is simple“.
Pesic also talked about the next game in the Spanish league, against Real Madrid:”We tried to prepare our match against Red Star, we weren’t thinking on Madrid. Not because we don’t respect them. We want to improve our game. They are a physical team, with a lot of rebound and that can score in transition. I expect a close game“.
Crvena Zvezda‘s coach Dusan Alimpijevic couldn’t enjoy his birthday as he would have liked and seemed upset: “It has been a very positive game Pesic’s Barca. They have a lot of character and had a very tough defense. We had a really really bad game and I don’t have much to say about it“.
