That’s the date of the EuroLeague board meeting in which all the issues concerning Panathinaikos and the club’s owner will be discussed.

EuroLeague CEO Jordi Bertomeu contacted Giannakopoulos and informed him that also his complains about the referees’ decision will be a matter of examination between the members of the board, which are the eleven teams with a ten-year contract. Of course, that includes also Panathinaikos. The Greek powerhouse is expected to attend the meeting.

Without a doubt, this is going to be a more than crucial board meeting on the issue of the troubled relationship between the two sides.

UPDATE: According to Panathinaikos, an e-mail was sent by Jordi Bertomeu to Dimitris Giannakopoulos, answering the letter of the Greens’ owner. However, according to Panathinaikos sources: “Mr. Bertomeu is involved in all matters and also in the punishment that Dimitris Giannakopoulos received, but in the matter of referees he stated that he is not the one in charge and he sends the ball to the court of the clubs when everything will be discussed on the 12th of April”.
