You can find here the full version of the Spanish magazine with Sloukas admitting in a comparison between last season’s Fenerbahce and the 2009 roster of Panathinaikos, that the Greens were better.

“I think Panathinaikos was even better than us”, says Sloukas. “They had an amazing core of guys with Spanoulis, Diamantidis, Jasikevicius, Batiste, Pekovic, Perperoglou and of course the best coach of all, Zeliko Obradovic“.

Of course, the Greek guard talked also about his previous team, Olympiacos: “They own a special DNA. The last 6-7 years they have proved to be a very hard team to beat. That comes from the spirit of the greek core. The way we won the Euroleague in 2012, was unbelievable. The buzzer of Printezis is one of the most spectacular moments in the history of European Basketball. I was lucky to experience it from so close! As for the back-to-back titles, we played amazingly well at London, so well that a few teams might have reached that level of play”.

Speaking about Greece, Sloukas mentioned that he is feeling part of the long line of Greek guards who dominated the game: “Ι feel lucky, cause I had the chance to play next to legends like Papaloukas, Spanoulis, Printezis, Diamantidis, guys I was always admiring. If I was told that I will become a teammate of them one day, I wouldn’t believe it. From a D Division Team, suddenly I was sharing the same room with Papaloukas. The first nights I was unable to sleep! He was my idol and I was watching Theo on TV. I was feeling awkward at the beginning, but he helped me so much, he gave me great advice and now we are very good friends”.

And of course, he didn’t forget to mention coach Dusan Ivkovic: “I highly respect him. He is among the best. In the beginning, he didn’t want me in the team and as time went by, I earned his respect. I worked hard, in order to get a chance and finally I got it”.
