The playoff matchup between Olympiacos Piraeus and Zalgiris Kaunas was tied after Game 2 and while waiting for the next game which will be played in Lithuania both sides put pressure on the refereeing most of all and the Lithuanian coach was no exception.

Atop of everything else, Sarunas Jasikevicius highlighted the importance of every small detail in games like these and that refereeing is one of those things: ”Almost both games went to overtime, so every small detail is very important. Refereeing is one of them. These details win the games. Falling for the ball, experience, etc. Everything is important”, the coach said per 15min.it.

On the question specifically about the referee criteria in Game 2, Jasikevicius explained: ”We did our job – we took Euroleague notice of refs. I believe Olympiacos did the same. But their phrases sounds strange to me. However, everybody does their job and fight with their own weapons.”

And taking all of that into consideration, there was some talk about the mindset for the next game: ”We lost our aggression. We stopped and started to save ourselves. We can’t afford it. Even if we have a foul problem or we are unlucky in the OFF, we can’t afford it. Ok, tactics are important, bet it’s all about leaving your heart on the floor.”
