Despite adding Axel Toupane, Olympiacos is also negotiating with Janis Timma and Baskonia in order to bring in the Latvian forward.

The Spanish side wants to unload Timma’s contract and may even pay a small part of it in order to make the deal happen.

Timma is owed over one million next season and Olympiacos is ready to cover the vast majority of his salary.

No deal has been reached yet but Olympiacos head coach David Blatt wants to add Timma to the team’s roster.

If Olympiacos indeed signs Timma, it’s unclear whether or not the team will make a move to sign another guard. However, if the Reds move in for another player at the guard position after Timma’s addition, that is more likely to happen in the latter parts of the summer.
