Thousands of people demonstrated in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem on Sunday, to protest against discrimination of LGBT+ individuals in Israel in general, and the exclusion of gay men from the surrogacy law passed last week by the Knesset, the unicameral national legislature of Israel.
In the wake of these events, Maccabi Tel Aviv showed its solidarity to the protesters and the LGBT+ community, by changing its blue & yellow team logo to the colours of the movement.
The organization posted the following picture with a caption that reads: “Maccabi Tel Aviv supports pride in the LGBT+ community and calls on all sports community to stand alongside them and support equality for every person, regardless of religion, race and sex”
