FC Bayern Munich announced the signing of Petteri Koponen for the next three seasons, confirming Eurohoops’ prior reports.
Koponen arrives in the German club from Barcelona, where he averaged 7.9 points and 1.5 assists per game in Euroleague this past season.
“For me, the move to Munich is a great new challenge, because Bayern Munich is a club that stands strong for the future and can become a big basketball team. I hope that I can be a part of it and help the club to reach the next level. For me, this is a great experience to pursue these new goals over the next three years and achieve something big. I have often played against the German national team, now I am looking forward to the BBL. And of course, there are a lot of strong teams in the EuroLeague. But I think, we, too, will be a very good, a dangerous one”, said Koponen after his signing.
