Olympiacos got the win in the “Costa Del Sol” tournament against Unicaja Malaga. It was a close game, decided in the last quarter with the Reds getting the  94-77 win.

David Blatt’s team entered the last quarter leading by five (72-67) but kept Unicaja scoreless for four minutes, got a double-digit lead (77-67) and never looked back after that.

Both teams were missing many rotation players due to the FIBA World Cup qualifiers. Axel Toupane with 19 points led a balanced offensive effort for the winners, Vassilis Spanoulis added 18 points and Clint Chapman who is added in the roster just for the pre-season scored 17.

Former Olympiacos players Brian Roberts (24 p.) and Kyle Wiltjer (16 p.) led the charge for Unicaja.
