Keith Langford scored 20 points and Matt Lojeski added 18 as Panathinaikos bounced back from a preseason loss to AEK by beating Maccabi Tel Aviv 87 – 81.
Lojeski also grabbed eight rebounds and Langford dished out five assists for Panathinaikos that was superior to the “Yellows” in the second half.
Maccabi was up 50 – 41 at the beginning of the third period but their opponents reacted with a 2 – 17 partial score to establish a lead and retain it for the remainder of the match.
Johnny O’ Bryant had another stellar game for Maccabi following the one vs. Khimki, with 26 points in 22:34 minutes. Jeremy Pargo added 16 points, six assists, and four rebounds.
