Anadolu Efes managed to come back from 14 points down and defeat Fenerbahce Istanbul. After the game, Efes head coach, Ergin Ataman after three consecutive wins against Zeljko Obradovic‘s team said that this trend can continue.
“We won our last three games against Fenerbahce. I don’t think there is any other team in Europe that can accomplish that in 3-4 years. It gives us confidence. We will continue to win and beat Fenerbahce,” Ataman stated.
Besides, he also commented on his players’ character and Rodrigue Beaubois’ performance: “Congratulations to my players. They showed big character in the second half. We spoke at halftime in the locker room. First half they killed us physically. They played aggressively and we didn’t make good picks, we didn’t rebound. At halftime, we talked about playing at the same level and fighting,” he added.
“From the first ball in the second half, we started to play aggressive defense and we didn’t let them play easily on offense. Rodrigue Beaubois today played an excellent game. We showed big character to beat Fenerbahce, one of the best teams in Europe, to finish the first half down 15-16 points and to recover and win. We have big goals after this game. We showed that we are a good team this year,” he concluded.
