Derrick Williams experienced first hand that playing on the road in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague is not a walk in the park.

At the end of the third quarter in a close game between Fenerbahce and Bayern Munich, Derrick Williams who stole the show last week with his performance was scoreless.

He made his first points from the free-throw line and he made a gesture of silence to the crowd that was booing him. Fenerbahce fans started cursing at him and after the game, coach Dejan Radonjic admitted that it was part of Williams European learning process.

“It’s only natural because this is just his third game”, said the Serb coach. “After the game, we talked about what happened. It is still normal for him to do such things but I will talk to him again. This was the most important point of the game for us. We could have gotten the lead, we could have won the game. We made bad decisions at the end of the game and that caused our defeat.”

Here’s the moment in which Williams tried to silence the crowd.
