EuroLeague presented its latest “Focus on” video, which contains Xavi Pascual comments on Panathinaikos and many Green players’ opinion on their coach. “I feel part of this family, part of Panathinaikos, part of Athens, part of Greece” 46-year-old Pascual mentioned.
On his coaching philosophy, he added: “I think that the philosophy of the coach depends on the country and the city you are. Basketball in Athens is not the same basketball in Barcelona. Basketball is not only what the coaches or the players are thinking, it’s what the supporters are thinking. We can’t forget that we are playing for the supporters”.
Thanasis Antetokounmpo, Nick Calathes, Ioannis Papapetrou and James Gist touched on Pascual’s approach towards the team underlining that he only wants the club at the top position. The players also talked about how easy communication is with their coach.
