EuroLeague GMs pick the best players in mid-season survey

The Turkish Airlines EuroLeague general managers answered a series of questions about players including their opinion on the MVP, rising star, best leader and clutch player.

The second part of the Euroleague Basketball’s sixth annual mid-season survey polled the EuroLeague general managers with various questions about players including the MVP, rising star, best leader and clutch player, passer, among other questions.

The GMs believe that Fenerbahce Beko’s Jan Vesely will take the MVP title as they gave him 50% of the votes while their rising star is Maccabi Tel Aviv‘s Yovel Zoosman with 37.5%.

Olimpia Milano‘s Mike James also faired very well in the survey as the best clutch player (31.25%) and the most spectacular along with Bayern Munich’s Derrick Williams (25% each).

The role of the leader was grabbed by Olympiacos‘ Vassilis Spanoulis with 31.25% while Anadolu Efes‘ Vasilije Micic got 50% in the best breakout season category. Panathinaikos‘ Nick Calathes pulled of the most convincing win in a category as he was voted 56.25% to be the best passer of the competition.
