Barcelona has climbed to the fifth position in the EuroLeague standings and is one win away from the fourth spot, currently occupied by Anadolu Efes, and the homecourt advantage in the playoffs.
Despite his team being at a very small distance from the Top 4, Barcelona head coach Svetislav Pesic prefers to keep his feet on the ground.
“We don’t have many opportunities [to make the Top 4]. We have many very difficult games, not only on the road, also at home. […] I talk about things that depend on us. It depends on us to make the playoffs. Win all the games, play the Copa del Rey and keep the first place in ACB. We have improved, but we are not the Warriors, the Lakers or the Celtics from 30 years ago,” Pesic said in the post-game presser of his team’s win over Zalgiris Kaunas.
