Both Panathinaikos OPAP’s head coach Rick Pitino and owner Dimitris Giannakopoulos implied after the Wednesday’s match with Real Madrid that some referee decisions didn’t go their team’s way. The following morning, the Greens made their complaints official sending a letter to EuroLeague.

The protest has to do with Greek side being awarded just two free throws during the second half of the contest played at the WiZink Center. However, the displeasure towards Borys Ruzhyk, Sreten Radovic and Mehdi Difallah extends to other areas of the best-of-five series opener as well.
