Fenerbahce Beko defeated Zalgiris Kaunas on Tuesday and grabbed a 2-1 lead in the best-of-five series of the EuroLeague playoffs. The Zalgirio Arena hoped for a better outcome. However, the halftime ceremony in honor of the 1999 EuroLeague Champions offered the fans a pleasant note.
A day after the twentieth anniversary of the club’s biggest European moment, Jonas Kazlauskas and many of his 1998-99 players were honored. The 64-year-old coach also saw a jersey with his name raised to the rafters with the acclamation of the spectators.
