A poor performance was combined with a home loss by a big margin for FC Barcelona Lassa on Wednesday. On Friday, the Spanish team has the opportunity to react, tie the EuroLeague best-of-five playoffs series versus Anadolu Efes and force a deciding Game 5.
“We realize this is a match we need to win, but we don’t need to focus on winning or losing, we need to focus on playing basketball. In Game 3 we didn’t show our competitiveness in defense. We thought we would win without problems” Svetislav Pesic pointed out.
The 69-year-old head coach also mentioned: “It’s time to stand up for ourselves immediately. We have to take care of all aspects of the game, even details that don’t seem important. I know my players, they have character and can change the situation.”
Adam Hanga said: “We can’t make only eleven fouls at home. Obviously we have to improve. We have to play much more physically, as we did in the first two games.”
Barca is down 2-1 and will be eliminated with a loss on Friday. A win will extend the series to winner-take-all Game 5 to be played next week at Turkey.
