“This is personal satisfaction” Krunoslav Simon said to EuroLeague.net when asked about his first EuroLeague Final Four berth. The 33-year-old Croatian got close several times, but never before made it to the final stage of Europe’s premier competition.

He added: “I do not feel like a player who is about to turn 34. I feel excellent, mentally and physically, and this is surely a big satisfaction. There were not too many Croatians at the Final Four recently who had as big of a role on a team as I have on this team.”

Efes made 360 triples in EuroLeague’s current season. “I think that stat says how much it is fun to play and to watch us. I think it starts and is influenced a lot by our coach, Ataman, who gives every player enough freedom; not everything is schemed every single possession” Simon explained.

Fenerbahce Beko is up next. Fenerbahce proved it has the most consistency this EuroLeague season, it deserved to be first in the regular season. But also, we showed we can play against them and have some answers since the score against them is 3-3. So, we totally respect Fenerbahce, but we are also not afraid of them” he mentioned.
