VITORIA-GASTEIZ –The EuroLeague Head Coaches Board presented today more details for the first-ever Euroleague Coaches Clinic which is going to be held on July in Badalona and also presented its partners, with Eurohoops being among them.

As the board executive director, Goran Sasic, said: “Eurohoops has a very interesting slogan, which I loved from the first moment that I read it, which is ‘one language, basketball’. And I want to transfer it a bit to the coaches language and make it ‘One devotion, Euroleague basketball’. So this is a passion that we all share together. Eurohoops is constantly following the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and shares the same ideas with us”.

The other two partners presented were the Spanish coaches association (AEEB)  for the Badalona clinic and the scouting service “Hudl”.

The president of Joventut Badalona, Juan Antonio Morales, spoke about the clinic and he explained why Badalona is a basketball city: “It’s a city with 250.000 population that has more 13 basketball clubs. That means more than 1.830 players in the city. And that makes it a perfect place for this event”.

Former Panathinaikos and FC Barcelona coach Xavi Pascual added: “We will try this head coaches board to help every coach to improve every day”. Pascual will be among the coaches who will talk to the clinic and San Antonio Spurs assistant and former EuroLeague champions Ettore Messina will also be present. “It’s a big pleasure to see a lot of you, so many familiar faces”, said Messina. “It was a great pleasure to receive this phone call and be part of this board. Even with the many differences between the NBA and Europe, for us, coaches it’s the same story. We try to work everyday and create cohesion in a team. We want to work with other coaches and give them maybe the dream, or the idea that one day they may have the same chances with us”.
