EuroLeague is on its summer break, but the 2019-20 season set to start on October 3rd with 18 teams is already heating up. Seventeen out of the eighteen clubs are already known with UNICS Kazan and Partizan NIS the strongest candidates for the final spot awarded via wildcard.

The eleven sides with a long-term license guaranteeing them a spot are Anadolu Efes, AX Armani Exchange Olimpia Milan, CSKA Moscow, FC Barcelona Lassa, Fenerbahce Beko, KIROLBET Baskonia, Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv, Olympiacos, Panathinaikos OPAP, Real Madrid and Zalgiris Kaunas.

Valencia as 7DAYS EuroCup Champion, ALBA Berlin as at least the best-placed team for the easyCredit BBL aside Bayern, Khimki Moscow Region as at least the best-placed team from the VTB United League aside CSKA and Crvena zvezda mts as ABA League Champion will also compete in Europe’s premier competition.

With EuroLeague expanding to 18 clubs, FC Bayern Munich and LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne were added securing a wildcard for the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons. The third wildcard was created because Valencia took home the EuroCup trophy and Spain’s fourth and final spot with it.
